We’re not just another shirtmaker.

We’re not just another shirtmaker.

We fully own and operate our facilities in Alawwa and Maho to ensure a safe work environment for our employees.

No shady business, just great dress shirts

We’re in it all the way. That means fully owned and operated facilities in Sri Lanka where we get to be a part of and take responsibility for the whole process - from raw materials to finished products. This also ensures well-compensated workers who, let’s be honest, we wouldn’t be anything without.

Our first, highly skilled, tailor Nawa joined Tailor Store in 2004 and has been with us ever since.

The people behind our clothes

Who is better suited to be showcased than the people behind our products? And by those, we mean our incredibly talented workers at our facilities in Sri Lanka.

Our facility in Alawwa, surrounded by a mesmerizing scenery, serves as workplace for 350 skilled tailors.

Say goodbye to mass-production

It’s not until you place your order that we begin to produce it. We don’t hold any unnecessary stocks of unflattering ready-to-wear standard sizes, because why should we? There’s more in it for you and our planet to go custom. You’ll get a garment made simply for you and nobody else. Help us take another step away from an unsustainable consumption.

Sustainable production

All our fabrics follow the strict requirements for clothing textiles within Europe. This means no harmful substances are to be found in our fabrics, from yarn to finished product.

We co-ship almost all of our material by boat instead of aircraft or trucks.

Our cutting technique enables maximum usage of the fabric which results in decreased fabric waste.

We’re firm believers of high-quality. That’s why we only use high-quality materials throughout our dress shirts, in both interlinings, buttons, and threads.

By wrapping the buttons we reinforce the strength of the attached button, which increases the durability.

Every single dress shirt produced is examined both before and after the cutting process. It also goes through 3 different quality checks before shipment to ensure high-quality and reduce unnecessary shipping.

We ship from our fully operated facilities directly to you with no middle hands. Every shipment is 100% CO2 compensated.

No hassle, no unnecessary returns. Keep your first dress shirt or donate it when using our perfect fit guarantee.

Maintaining a circular economy

We’re doing our very best to make sure nothing goes to waste inside our production. That includes both investing in smart equipment that minimizes fabric waste, while also making use of the waste that is inevitable. A perfect example of this is a project we’ve launched where, after the cutting process is finished, leftover fabric waste is donated or sold at an extremely low rate to local families. These families then make use of the fabric by making carpets and rugs. This project is not about any financial interest from our end, but about us wanting to help and support the local communities in any way we possibly can. Due to this circular system, we're assisting local communities as well as creating usage of fabric waste that else would go to waste.

”What we do, may not be on a grand scale, but I believe that we should do our part in any way we can, to make the world a better place. We see on a daily basis how this small initiative changes the lives of the people around us.”
